panel review: “not in my backyard: heterosexism and homophobia in our communities.”

dear readers,

i gave a speech today. at an all day panel event called, “not in my backyard: heterosexism and homophobia in our communities.” what a right on name for today’s panel-stage pace university. all of us panelist-performers: colored, queer, and bright as lights. yes i said, bright. as. lights. the event was a beautiful experience, as much political art as story telling as speech giving. in a rather profit oriented academic institution (!). what movement. hark, what movement.

and what performances, Marga Gomez, Andrea Cofino, Simply Rob, Sadaat, stirring, we were all so stirring. Here’s the flyer.

and, oh yeah, today in hip hop politics we reviewed the: electric slide, the wop, the robocop, the chachachaslide, the dolla wyne. yes lords, the dolla. wyne.

🙂

peace,
prof. singh
